MOCA Test PDF – Overview
Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is a screening tool for individuals with mild cognitive dysfunction. The test assesses 8 domains of cognitive functioning: attention and concentration, executive functions, memory, language, Visu constructional skills, conceptual thinking, calculations, and orientation.
The MoCA was administered to three groups: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) patients, and normal elderly controls.
The MoCA was developed simultaneously in English and French (Canadian) and the two language forms were found to be equivalent (scores did not differ significantly, p = 0.91) (Nasreddine, Phillips, Bédirian, Charbonneau, Whitehead, Collin, et al, 2005).
